SGIG Bishop Dr. Gregory L. Brown, 33° (A)

The Honorable Dr. Gregory L. Brown, a native of Blytheville, Arkansas, has been married to Charlotte Brown for twenty-two years. They have one son, twenty-one-year-old Gregory Alonzo. He is a 1989 graduate of Blytheville High School and a 1993 Honor Graduate of Draughon College, where he obtained a technical degree in Tourism & Travel. In 2011, New Covenant Bible College and Theological Seminary of Los Angeles, California, awarded him an Honorary Doctor of Divinity. In 2014, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Victory University in Memphis, Tennessee, with a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry and a minor in Pastoral Counseling. In August 2022, he graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, with a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies. In December 2023, he earned a Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Studies with High Distinction, also from Liberty University. In July 2018, he became a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, where he holds membership in the Epsilon Sigma Sigma Alumni Chapter in Blytheville, Arkansas, and is this chapter's current immediate Past President and Treasurer.

On April 26, 2008, Bishop Brown was consecrated to the Episcopal Office of Bishop with Apostolic Succession through the World Harvest Covenant Churches International Fellowship. He has served for twenty years as the Senior Pastor of the New Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center in Osceola, AR. He is the Presiding Bishop Emeritus and founder of the Leaders For Change Christian Fellowship, Incorporated, which existed for ten years and has been reinstituted as of June 2024.

He is an Honorably Discharged United States Army Veteran of eight years who served in the Persian Gulf War and a tour in Panama, Republic of Panama. In 2010, he was appointed by Governor Mike Beebe to serve on the Arkansas Veterans Commission and served as the Commission's Chairman in 2016. He is currently serving on his third consecutive 5-year appointment. He is a Lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a Lifetime member of the American Legion,  a Lifetime member of the Phylaxis Society, a member of M.A. Clark Lodge No. 18, F.&A.M., P.H.A., N.R. Parker Consistory No. 285, Valley of West Memphis, and Grand Chaplain of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Arkansas. He is a Sovereign Grand Inspector General, 33° (A), and is currently the 9th Illustrious Deputy for the Orient of Arkansas and the Most Illustrious Commander-in-Chief of the Fred Johnson, Jr. Council of Deliberation, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Prince Hall Affiliated, Southern Jurisdiction.
